Wendigo:(in the folklore of some northern Algonquian peoples) a cannibalistic giant; a person who has been transformed into a monster by the consumption of human flesh. They can come in many many forms, in a spirit or made of shabby old wood. they can be peaceful but you wouldn't want to come across one that was violent. The typical Wendigo stands at fifteen feet tall, making them extremely hard to battle and fight.
Magic: The magic that wendigo's are able to use is. . .
Caster Magic: Magic that is expelled from the body as opposed to magic done through the use of a weapon or outside source.
Holder Magic: Magic that requires a Mage to use an external source to produce the Magic, such as a artifact or something that one can summon with in the heat of battle.
Black magic: magic involving the supposed invocation of evil spirits for evil purposes.
Fire: besides the creatures immeasurable amount of power, there are ways to protect oneself from the Wendigo. If one is hunting this creature, a fire must be kept burning at all times. This will deter the Wendigo from attacking, but only for so long. If burned, the wounds will quickly heal and will only make the beast even more enraged.
Magical Protection: Any means of mystical protection should be employed (amulets, protective spells, fetishes, and charms), as these things hold power over the Wendigo.
Ear Covers: anything covering the ears must be there to block out the wendigos maddening screeches.
Silver: The Wendigo cannot be harmed or defeated by conventional methods or weapons, including blades or firearms(bow, crossbow, hand cannon). However, silver is lethal to the Wendigo. Silver arrows or a pure silver blade (or silvered steel) can cause the Wendigo great pain and can even kill the beast.
The Wendigo can vary in shapes and sizes it takes. many can be made of wood or a bony type material with drapes over it or a animal skull mask. Or they can look quite beautiful, so to speak that is, however don't be fooled by its charm or you might just end up dead. Now not all wendigo's are violent, most being a familiar will not harm others unless told to by their master. Wendigo's will attack on sight or if they feel threatened in anyway. They typically live in large forest areas with tall trees to cover them selves, that or a very lush and covered forest. You might see one or two wondering around in mountains or snowy areas, but they do mostly live in large forests where they know that most people roam around in.
